The 24-year-old Uruguayan wing-back, who moved to Europe for the first time in his career this summer, scored a goal in Sporting CP's glorious 4-1 win over reigning English champions Manchester City in the Champions League last week. Araujo has revealed that he also approached City boss Guardiola for a photograph, after which they shared a brief conversation.

WHAT MAXI ARAUJO SAID
Upon reaching his homeland for Uruguay's upcoming World Cup qualifying games, Araujo told reporters when asked about a potential move to Man City: "I hope so, I hope so... I asked him [Guardiola] for a photo, we talked for a few minutes and he congratulated me. I'm very happy about that. We talked about the game, nothing more."
