Relationship woe for Gerard Pique! Ex-Barcelona star reportedly splits with girlfriend Clara Chia after three years

Per Spanish TV show Vamos a ver (Let's See), Pique has split with Chia after three years together. The news has been reported by journalist Adriana Dorronoro, but the cause of their split is not yet known.

Pique's relationship has long been in the public eye, as he was previously with pop star Shakira for over a decade. The pair share two children, but the pair split amid allegations that the former Manchester United centre-back cheated on the pop star. He retired from football in 2022.

Dorronoro said: "I have confirmation that Gerard Piqué and Clara Chía have broken up and I am investigating a little into the reasons, because I am hearing from third parties, although it is still not very clear."

Pique won nine La Liga titles at Barcelona and also lifted the Champions League trophy no fewer than three times. At international level, he won both the World Cup and the European Championship. It remains to be seen if he will comment publicly on the reporting of his relationship breakdown.
