A new season hasn't brought immediate success in Paris. The Parisians have drawn their first two games under Luis Enrique, and are yet to score from open play. But both injuries and off-field turmoil have certainly played their part. The noise surrounding Kylian Mbappe's contract fiasco appears to have been sorted — for now. Maanwhile, Neymar's move to the Saudi Pro League has removed at least one massive distraction from Paris.
Still, there are a few injuries to contend with. Vice-captain Presnel Kimpembe remains out after rupturing his Achilles tendon last spring. Reigning Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year Nuno Mendes has also picked up a knock, and will miss some more time, too. A couple of knocks elsewhere have left the Parisians surprisingly short at the back for the coming weeks. It may be early days in his managerial tenure, but Luis Enrique certainly has some issues to address.
