'He's extraordinary' - Pep Guardiola full of praise for Erik ten Hag as Man City boss urges Man Utd to 'make a decision' on under-fire manager's future

Erik ten Hag won his second trophy as United manager as his side beat rivals Manchester City 2-1 in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday. Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo were on target for the Red Devils while Jeremy Doku scored the consolation goal for the newly crowned Premier League champions.

After losing the final, City boss Pep Guardiola lavished praise on his Red Devils counterpart as he described the Dutchman as an 'extraordinary manager.' He also urged the club to decide on Ten Hag's future, which continues to remain uncertain.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Guardiola said, "They have to take a decision. He's a lovely person and an extraordinary manager. Winning the FA Cup is important for them like last season it was for us."

Despite guiding them to FA Cup glory, the club might consider parting ways with the former Ajax head coach as they have reportedly identified Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna as the 54-year-old's successor.
