Neymar is heading home! Santos near agreement with Al-Hilal as attacker's father earns a stake in Brazilian side as part of deal

According toL'Equipe, negotiations between Santos and Al-Hilal are 'almost complete' over a Neymar transfer. The report adds the 32-year-old and his father, Neymar da Silva Senior, would join an investment fund to acquire a stake in the Brazilian team. That would pave the way for the forward to return to his old club.

Neymar's transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Al-Hilal has not gone according to plan. While the ex-Barcelona star has been unlucky with injuries, he has not justified the €90 million (£77m/$98m) splashed out on him in the summer of 2023. Now, he is out of favour at Al-Hilal, a return to Santos seems right.

Neymar, who has made just seven appearances for Al-Hilal to date, began his career at Santos before moving to Barcelona in 2013 as a 21-year-old. During his five seasons at the then Serie A team, he scored 136 goals in 225 appearances.

Neymar is out of contract this summer but it seems Serie B team Santos want to get this deal done in January instead of waiting a few months.
