It was a weird weekend of MLS action. Three of the top five teams in the East dropped points, while in the West, two of the top three did so too. Call it a Leagues Cup hangover, but plenty of clubs capitalized on the moment, and with the season winding down, it could be looked at as a crucial weekend of MLS action.
In the East, Orlando City obliterated Inter Miami without an injured Lionel Messi, while both FC Cincinnati and the Philadelphia Union dropped points. Meanwhile, in the West, both the Vancouver Whitecaps and Minnesota United lost respective matches, paving way for the Western Conference to fall into the hands of San Diego FC - who continue to excel in their debut season.
