Lionel Messi and Xavi could be sensationally reunited at Inter Miami, with it claimed that the outgoing Barcelona boss is open to a MLS challenge.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Former Blaugrana captain Xavi has, after savouring La Liga title glory at Camp Nou last season, announced that he will be walking away from his current role at the end of the 2023-24 campaign. He has seen a star-studded squad in Catalunya struggle for consistency this term, and the pressure of life in the most demanding of managerial posts has become too much.

El Chiringuito claims that the World Cup-winning ex-Spain international will look to take a break from coaching when severing ties with Barcelona. He is, however, only 44 years of age and will return to the dugout at some stage.

El Chiringuito report that Xavi “wants to stop for a year but there have been contacts with Inter Miami”. They go on to say that “if an interesting offer arrives, he will accept it”.
