Harry Kane hails Bayern Munich's 'top mentality' as England striker scores first open play goal since November in Bundesliga win

Kane scored the opening goal for Bayern as they beat Freiburg 2-1 in the Bundesliga on Saturday. The England captain was assisted by long-term team-mate Eric Dier, making history in the process as the first Englishmen to combine for a goal in the German top-flight since records began, as Bayern maintained their lead at the top of the table.

Kim Min-jae scored Bayern's second goal, before Matthias Ginter gave Freiburg hope of a late comeback, though Kane and Co. stood firm. They now sit six points clear of second-placed Bayer Leverkusen at the Bundesliga summit.

On Instagram, Kane wrote: "Big away win today! Top mentality from the boys!"
