The Uruguay international forward moved to Anfield for £85 million ($107m) in the summer of 2022. WHAT HAPPENED?

There has been talk of Nunez potentially moving on in the next window, with La Liga giants Barcelona being credited with interest. They are said to be <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/darwin-nunez-barcelona-shock-move-liverpool-replace-robert-lewandowski/blt09848606472ce6d3" target="_blank">in the market for a successor for prolific Polish frontman Robert Lewandowski</a>, who could cut short his time in Catalunya amid links to teams in MLS and the Saudi Pro League.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Nunez has done little to quash the exit talk at Anfield with his activity on social media.
