The 39-year-old scored in Al-Nassr's 2-1 defeat to Al-Ittihad on Friday, his final appearance of 2024. Ronaldo turns 40 in February but he's showing no signs of slowing down after putting up some extraordinary numbers for the year.

In 51 games for club and country, Ronaldo provided 50 goal contributions: 43 goals and seven assists, per beIN SPORTS. He finished the year on a tear, scoring eight times and assisting once in his final five outings.

Despite the numbers, Ronaldo is still likely to feel a tinge of regret when he reflects on the year after failing to score for Portugal at Euro 2024 - even if he thinks he did find the net at the tournament in Germany.

Ronaldo, who delivered a defiant message after the Al-Ittihad defeat, will now enjoy a well-earned rest. Al-Nassr are back in action on January 9 when they take on Al-Akhdoud in the Saudi Pro League.
