Christian Pulisic on the move! Another position change for USMNT star as AC Milan consider shifting American into familiar role

The United States international has thrived for the Rossoneri this season, with a personal-best goal return of 13 efforts posted during his debut campaign in Italian football. After struggling for consistency at Chelsea, the 25-year-old forward has rediscovered his spark at club level.

Much of his best work in 2023-24 has been done on the right flank, with Stefano Pioli taking to using Pulisic as a winger. He has been shifted around at times, with some suggesting that he should be utilised as a playmaking No.10.

Said calls continue to be ignored for now, but Milannews.it claims that Pulisic may be switched back to a familiar role on the left when the Rossoneri take in a derby date with arch-rivals Inter. That selection call would allow Portuguese superstar Rafael Leao to move centrally in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Milan should have plenty of motivation, because Inter will claim the league title with a victory on Monday night.

Pulisic has spent plenty of time on the left wing, for club and country, so should have no issues slotting into that system. International colleague Yunus Musah will be put on the right, with Pioli preparing to shuffle his pack after going three games without a win in Serie A and Europa League quarter-final competition.
