Alphonso Davies faces fine and driving suspension as Bayern Munich star fails breathalyser test after being stopped by German police in his €216,000 Lamborghini

Davies was stopped while driving a Lamborghini Urus, worth around €216,000, by police after 2am on Friday and tested following suspicions he had been drinking before getting behind the wheel, Bild and Sky Sport report. He is said to have recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.6 per mille which is not a criminal offence but an administrative one, meaning he will face a one-month driving ban and a €500 (£415/$527) fine.

The incident comes a few days before Bayern face Dortmund in the Bundesliga. The full-back did train with his team-mates on Friday and will travel with the squad, suggesting he might still get the nod from head coach Vincent Kompany.

Bayern are the only unbeaten team remaining in the Bundesliga. They will do well to match Bayer Leverkusen's undefeated campaign from last term, but so far they have only dropped points on two occasions.

According to the report, Bayern will not impose any sanctions on their full-back. It is a strong indication that the Canadian international will turn out in some capacity against Dortmund on Saturday evening.
