Ronaldo has launched a fresh attack on Ten Hag by criticising the Dutchman's apparent lack of ambition. Garnacho, who has made no secret of his admiration for Ronaldo, liked a post on social media that carried the superstar's quotes. His backing of the Portugal international, and apparent lack of support for Ten Hag, has got Manchester United fans talking.

  • WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING

Cristiano Ronaldo fan account @totalcristiano wrote: "Garnacho has the right idea here."

Manchester United fan @rache16348 also agreed with the winger: "Garnacho knows Ten Hag needs to be changed."

And @YusraKashaf91 also felt the Argentine was right to agree with Ronaldo: "Garnacho's got good taste, the post was spot on."

Other fans disagreed, @UTDSeeeker offered some advice to the youngster: "Glad the number 7 shirt wasn’t given to him. He needs to grow up."

Another supporter, @_OG_9ine, was not at all happy with Garnacho, posting: "I absolutely dislike this about him. He's arrogant and has no one to tell him it's going to hurt his career on the long run."

And @racheal_ifedayo added: "He has standards. What Ten Hag said is unacceptable, we are Manchester United not Swansea."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Garnacho has emerged as a key player for United and his social media activity is unlikely to go down well with Ten Hag at a tricky time for the Dutchman. The 54-year-old was backed by Manchester United during the summer and throughout the transfer window as the club brought in Manuel Ugarte, Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui and Leny Yoro. However, the Dutchman has found himself under pressure once again at Old Trafford after making a poor start to the season and managing just one win from three games.
