“We are waiting for Monday with high hope and focus that we are going to know the opponents we shall be facing in the next few days,” Anyansi told Goal.

We are not afraid to be drawn against any of the remaining teams. We will try our best to ensure that we keep the players happy and motivated to go into the next round with optimism that they can beat their opponents.

“It was crucial for us to finish the group as leaders which we managed to grind out at the end of the game. We shall have no problems with any of the three clubs that we could be drawn against. Ours is to prepare a team that can surmount any pressure.

“We know that the more we play the tougher it becomes and we already prepared the minds of our players towards that. We want to do everything at our disposal to ensure that we scale to the next round but the first thing we must do to pray that we get a favourable draw.”

Enyimba who are making their second appearance in the Caf Confederation Cup this term can only be drawn against either of Al Masry of Egypt, AS Vita Club of Congo DR and Rwandan’s Rayon Sport in the quarter-final by the virtue of their emergence as group winners in Group C.

They will have the honour of hosting the second leg before their fans in Aba on September 23 after the initial leg away from home on the weekends of September 14-16.
