Selebwa: Ulinzi Stars must tread carefully

Kakamega Homeboyz U-20 coach Gilbert Selebwa has warned Ulinzi Stars ahead of their Caf Confederation Cup match against Al Hilal Benghazi.

A two-goal win will see the team qualify to the next stage of the tournament where Egyptian side Smouha SC await. Selebwa is also optimistic Tusker can get positive result away to Mauritius.

"Ulinzi Stars must tread cautiously because they failed to score away from home. They will be under pressure to score and therefore vulnerable to concede. They must regulate their game. I expect their opponents either to come all out to secure a quick goal or sit back and hit on the counter. Character in this game for Ulinzi Stars is crucial.

"Tusker must justify their double by advancing to the second round. Sloppy passing and complacency cost them the funny goal that they conceded at home. They have the quality to overcome that draw. They had a very fruitful KPL season picking most of their points away from home meaning that they are never under pressure playing in opponent’s stadium," he told Goal.

The Ulinzi Stars – Al Hilal Benghazi match will be played at Kasarani Stadium from 3.00 pm.
