"It was an interesting friendly match we had with Kogi United in Minna,” James told Goal.

“I am disappointed that we could not win the match, I must admit that they gave us a good challenge. We missed a lot of scoring chances during the match and must make amends in that aspect.

“They were my former team and I knew it would be tough defeating them despite they are in the second division. But it was a fair result for us because we did well to avoid conceding a goal.

"I think that we have some lessons from the math and the draw was an eye-opener for us and also the coaches, especially in our attack. We know where to improve upon before the league resumes."

When the league resumes, Hamza Abara’s men will be welcoming league leaders Lobi Stars in a topflight clash in Minna.
