The man of the match of Kuala Lumpur's 4-3 win over Kedah in their Malaysia Super League (MSL) clash on Saturday; Zaquan Adha Abdul Radzak has credited his teammates for his performance in the match, and wants to continue his fine form.

Against Kedah, Zaquan, who had been recovering from an injury, was handed his first league start for Kuala Lumpur (KL) since joining them in the pre-season. The Malaysia international repaid head coach Fabio Maciel's trust by turning in an outstanding performance; scoring the opener in the third minute before winning a penalty in the second half that was then converted by striker Guilherme de Paula.

Speaking to the press after the match, Zaquan chose to highlight his teammates' contribution in the match instead.

"I have to say that my teammates contributed to the win too. In football all eleven players must work together and without them I could not play well.

"I want to keep this momentum and maintain my consistency. I cannot play well in one game and put in a subpar performance in the next. That's what's important to me," said the former JDT and Perak player.

When pointed the fact that the Hawks have defeated both the big sides (the other club being JDT) they have faced this season, the forward admitted that his team are motivated by these big games.

"We knew we were facing formaidable sides and we wanted to match them. We didn't take tonight's match lightly. That's also what happened when we faced JDT earlier.

"But what matters is our consistency. We can't play well only against strong sides, and that's what we need to work on after this. There's still a long way to go in the league," explained Zaquan.
