The ex-Gunners front-man has witnessed signs of progression at White Hart Lane and says Mauricio Pochettino's side are "not far off" the higher levels

Thierry Henry says that he is worried that Tottenham will soon surpass Arsenal, but believes that they do not possess enough strength in depth at the moment.

The former Arsenal star has been impressed by Mauricio Pochettino's side, who are currently second in the Premier League looking down on the fifth-placed Gunners, and he believes that they are close to becoming a real force to be reckoned with.

Shearer: Not easy to force Rooney out

"Their future looks bright. They have all their best players on long-term deals, which sends a good signal to potential signings. The new stadium is coming on. They play good football," Henry said in his column for The Sun.

The Frenchman continued: "Spurs are solid, a tight-knit unit with good togetherness and cohesion.

"But I would say the strength in depth is not there yet. They need about four more quality players.

"If Harry Kane is not playing, they miss him badly. Heung-Min Son did well at the start of the season while Vincent Janssen has not quite been up to it.

"They are not far off. That’s what worries me - Tottenham are finally getting it right."

Spurs will look to keep the pressure on Chelsea at the top of the table when they host Everton at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
