Carragher promptly addressed Richards' absence with cheeky commentary. Turning to the camera, the Liverpool legend quipped: "People are affected by pressure differently. Now, the man on my left...I mean, it's a big European final. Now the pressure has got to him. The sweat was peeing out of him."
Keane, known for his no-nonsense demeanour, briefly broke from his stern persona to express concern. "I hope he's okay. Is he okay?" he asked.
Carragher replied: "I think he is okay. Is he okay?" A voice from behind the scenes reassured the group: "Yeah, he’s okay." That didn't stop Carragher from continuing the banter.
"I think you can work out for yourself where he probably is right now. What's he having? Imodium?"
Presenter Anita Jones confirmed the likely remedy with a smile, prompting Carragher to say: "I think that will give you a realising of where he is and what he is doing right now. Will he make the kick-off?"
