    WHAT HAPPENED?

Alfie Haaland took a swipe at Arsenal after Manchester City's 5-1 thrashing at Emirates Stadium on Sunday. City goal machine Haaland was persistently trolled throughout the match, which prompted his father to come up with a scathing response on social media.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Haaland was targetted first by Arsenal's Gabriel, who laughed in the Norwegian's face after Martin Odegaard's early opener. Youngster Lewis-Skelly then trolled the forward as he copied the 24-year-old's celebration, sitting in a meditation pose, as he scored his first senior goal in the Premier League. Then at full-time, Kendrick Lamar's famous track 'Humble' was played over the stadium speakers - a reference to Haaland telling manager Mikel Arteta to "stay humble" after the teams played out a 2-2 draw in September.

Pep Guardiola's side will hope to recover quickly from the trauma of another damaging Premier League defeat. City will be back in action next Saturday against Leyton Orient in a fourth-round FA Cup clash away from home.
