WHAT HAPPENED?
The Three Lions are currently preparing for the European Championship and conducted a training session at their basecamp - Weimarer Land Spa and Golf Resort in Blankenhain - on Wednesday morning. However, City star Stones was absent due to an illness.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID
England later shared a few photographs from the team's training in Germany on social media and confirmed the news of the star defender's absence. They wrote: "The Three Lions squad is out at training this morning, except John Stones who misses out through illness."

Gareth Southgate's side played two warmup matches before beginning their Euro 2024 journey. In their first match, they outclassed Bosnia-Herzegovina but they suffered a setback back in their final friendly game where they went down 1-0 against minnows Iceland.
