Bloemfontein Celtic playmaker Mahlasela flirts with Kaizer Chiefs

Bloemfontein Celtic attacker Kabelo Mahlasela has revealed that he only reads in the media that Kaizer Chiefs are interested in his services, saying he hasn’t been approached by the Soweto giants.

The attacking midfielder, who is also reportedly on the radar of Orlando Pirates, admitted that he’s humbled to be linked with big team like Amakhosi.

Mahlasela said it’s every player’s dream to play for one of the biggest teams in South Africa.

“I only hear in the media that Chiefs want to sign me, but I don’t know anything about it,” Mahlasela told Isolezwe.

“It’s every player’s dream in South Africa to play for a big team like Chiefs. It makes me happy to hear that Chiefs are after my services,” said the speedy attacker.

While they confirmed that they will be reinforcing certain departments ahead of next season, the Glamour Boys have not disclosed their targets due to the nature of the local market.

They already have Joseph Molangoane and William Twala in Mahlasela’s position, and whether or not they will bring him on board for the upcoming season remains to be seen.

Mahlasela, 26, made 24 appearances for Phunya Sele Sele, found the back of twice and grabbed three assists in all official competitions this season.
