Colombian football was rocked by horrific scenes on Saturday evening as the top-flight encounter between Independiente Santa Fe and America de Cali descended into chaos. The match at the El Campin stadium in Bogota had to be halted for nearly an hour after rival supporters stormed the turf to engage in a violent mass brawl.
Jesse Lingard delivered a standout performance for Corinthians in the gruelling conditions of the Copa Libertadores, earning special praise from his manager Fernando Diniz in the process. The former Manchester United star completed his first full 90 minutes since joining the Alvinegro, proving his fitness at over 2,600 metres above sea level against Independiente Santa Fe.
