Nottingham Forest Overview

Andrey Santos GFX

Santos' £50m Man Utd move is puzzling for all parties

For some football fans, the summer is the part of the calendar that they look forward to the most - and that's not just because it's filled by a World Cup every four years! Rather, it's because the end of the season means only one thing: It's time for transfers! The 2026 window is once again proving to be busy, with some huge names making big-money moves before deadline day on September 1.

Oliver Glasner Elliot Anderson Nottingham Forest

‘Money to burn’ - £116m Anderson sale presents Forest poser

Nottingham Forest have “money to burn” following their record-breaking £116 million ($155m) sale of Elliot Anderson to Manchester City, but Reds legend Des Walker has told GOAL why cash in the bank can pose recruitment problems. The former centre-half has also explained why the City Ground faithful have a crucial role to play in ambitious future plans.

Murillo Nottingham Forest 2025-26

Can Forest keep Murillo for 10 years? No need for transfer

Nottingham Forest will be hoping to see Brazilian defender Murillo spend another decade at the City Ground, with legendary former Reds centre-half Des Walker telling GOAL why the enigmatic South American can hit individual targets without seeking a transfer elsewhere. A long-term contract is ensuring that no sale needs to be considered any time soon.

Liverpool v Crystal Palace - Premier League

Forest target Liverpool midfielder as Anderson replacement

Nottingham Forest are weighing up a move for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones as they look to reinvest the record-breaking funds generated by Elliot Anderson's departure. The Reds' academy graduate has reportedly expressed a desire to leave Anfield this summer in search of more regular first-team football under a new regime.

Oliver Glasner Evangelos Marinakis

How Glasner & Marinakis ‘marriage’ at Forest will be measured

Oliver Glasner will be next through the managerial revolving door at Nottingham Forest, but how long will he last? Reds legend Stan Collymore has admitted to GOAL that the Austrian’s decision to link up with enigmatic Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis is “not a marriage made in heaven”, with his reign likely to be another that is measured in months rather than years.

The best way to travel to the City Ground is by public transportation or on foot, with parking limited around the stadium and surrounding residential areas. Nottingham railway station, served by the National Rail network, is within walking distance of the stadium.

In addition, the City Ground is served by buses and trams on matchdays, with Meadows Embankment the nearest stop for the latter service. To find out more information, check the club’s website.

With all season tickets for Nottingham Forest being sold out, you can expect getting matchday tickets to be fairly difficult, with home match tickets being allocated to members and season ticket holders first.

Midweek and cup games are likely to be a little easier to get hold of tickets, with tickets going on sale for members when they're available.

Only in occasional circumstances do Nottingham Forest tickets become available to those without a membership.

You'll find most games sell out in advance of the match, but if you're lucky, they might become available on the official Nottingham Forest website.

If you can't get your hands on non-member tickets, you can also head to secondary resale sites like StubHub and Ticombo with tickets starting from £70.
