Australia has decided to switch training venues in preparation for Saturday night's friendly against South Korea after rejecting the surface at Ballymore Stadium.
The Socceroos were originally set to hold their sessions at the venue - which also doubles as Queensland's Rugby Union headquarters - but have decided to train at Lions Stadium instead - the home ground of NPL QLD champions Lions FC.
It's understood the reason behind the decision was a desire for the green and gold to train on the best possible surface - with South Korea their penultimate scheduled match before heading to the United Arab Emirates in January to defend the Asian Cup.
Australia's call to axe Ballymore comes a week after the announcement of South Korea's friendly against Uzbekistan at the same venue on November 20 - three days after they take on the Socceroos.
Ballymore have been contacted for comment on concerns about the pitch.
After playing South Korea, the Socceroos head south to face Lebanon in Tim Cahill's farewell match on November 20 at ANZ Stadium.
