EA release special St Patrick's Day FIFA 17 cards

The Irish national holiday is being celebrated in the football simulation with a special squad of players as well as unique challenges

EA have unveiled special edition FIFA Ultimate Team cards for St Patrick's Day, featuring a full squad of green players.

To celebrate's Ireland's national holiday, a full 23-man panel of players have been made available in packs, with limited edition players of some of the Republic of Ireland's biggest names.

Everton duo Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy are the two highest rated of the players, who have been given green versions of their regular cards, rather than higher ratings for the weekend event.

St Patrick's weekend runs until March 20th in the game, with a number of Squad Building Challenges also available this weekend. The new challenges allow players to enter teams with certain green or Irish requirements in order to win pots of gold which can be traded for in-game coins.

As well as all that, a legend Roy Keane card has also been released. The new players are already in packs, with popular online gamer and Hull City midfielder David Meyler enjoying opening his special version in a pack!
