ESPN report that the Argentinian is set to miss City's Group G decider against Juventus after picking up an ankle injury in the 6-0 rout of Al Ain on Sunday, a blow which has seen him require crutches. The 19-year-old was unable to train with his team-mates on Monday or Tuesday.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The injury comes as a blow to Echeverri, who scored his first goal for the club - an excellent free-kick - in that Al Ain victory, before coming off at half-time. With summer signing Rayan Cherki added to an attacking midfield group already featuring Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva, he will not want a spell on the sidelines to see him fall behind the competition.
Echeverri was initially signed by City in January 2024 but remained on loan at previous club River Plate until January 2025. He made his debut for City in the FA Cup final, which they lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace.
