Martin Odegaard sends 'tough' message to Arsenal fans following Gunners' disappointing Champions League exit to Harry Kane's Bayern Munich

Arsenal were ousted from the Champions League following a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena, thanks to a goal from Joshua Kimmich. This disappointment was preceded by a recent setback in the Premier League, where Arsenal suffered a 2-0 home loss to Aston Villa, denting their title charge and placing them two points behind league leaders Manchester City.

In a message to his team and fans, Odegaard wrote on his Instagram story: "Tough one to take for all of us...But we still have something beautiful to fight for. Let's lift each other up and we go again. Thanks for all the messages and all your support. Means a lot."

Manager Mikel Arteta echoed Odegaard's sentiments and also emphasised the "beauty" of the upcoming opportunities in the Premier League.

"What we have ahead is beautiful," he said. "Six games and we are two points behind City. A busy schedule for everybody. We have to go through the pain tonight, and tomorrow get up, come with the same attitude that we came here and hopefully beat Wolves."

Arsenal have a few tricky fixtures in their final six games including two London derbies against Chelsea and Tottenham, respectively. They will also host Bournemouth and Everton apart from making a trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on May 12.
