AFPTHE BIGGER PICTURE
Liverpool are thought to have rejected an enquiry from Barcelona over a deal for Diaz, while Bayern have made little progress in agreeing personal terms with the former Porto winger. The 28-year-old has now declared he is weighing up his options but stopped short of committing his future to the Merseyside giants.
AFPWHAT NEXT FOR DIAZ?
The results of Diaz's negotiations will be fascinating. The forward is in high demand following his best season in England so far and is thought to want to play for Barcelona before he retires, but so far Liverpool have found no reason to entertain offers from Spain, Germany or Saudi Arabia. For now, he will soon return to England for pre-season training.
