According to The Sun, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United were previously keeping tabs on the 28-year-old but now they have made it clear they have no plans to bid for the Brentford forward. In January, the Bees valued him at upwards of £80m ($104m) but now will reportedly accept a bid worth £30m ($39m) or so less than that this summer.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Toney scored four goals in his first five Premier League games following the conclusion of his ban for betting breaches. However, he failed to score in any of his last 12 matches for Thomas Frank's men as he went from being one of the most in-demand strikers to one the Bees may not be able to shift.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Toney was banned for eight months in May 2023 after admitting to 232 breaches of FA betting rules. The England international was given a reduced ban because of a diagnosed gambling addiction, before returning to action in January.

Toney, whose contract at Brentford runs until 2025, is now off on his summer holidays after playing his part in England's run to the Euro 2024 final last weekend. It remains to be seen if he will still be a Bees player for the resumption of the 2024-25 season.
