Jeremie Frimpong was Liverpool's first signing of the summer transfer window, joining from Bayer Leverkusen not just as a direct replacement of long-serving right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold at the club but as a possible stand-in for Mohamed Salah when the Egyptian forward is away on international duty.
Goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili's £29 million move to Merseyside was finalised when the transfer window opened, following an agreement reached with Valencia in August 2024, while the Reds completed their second summer signing with the capture of goalkeeper Armin Pecsi from Puskas Akademia.
The signing of Florian Wirtz was then confirmed by Liverpool, as the club agreed a stunning £116m deal with Bayer Leverkusen. Milos Kerkez then completed his £40m transfer from Bournemouth, and the Reds also completed a shock free transfer swoop for backup goalkeeper Freddie Woodman from Preston.
Liverpool later confirmed the signing of Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt in a huge £79 million ($107m) deal.
They were not done there as they then sealed the blockbuster signing of Alexander Isakfrom Newcastle in a record deal.
