The 20-year-old England international picked the ball up in his own half, before driving Los Blancos forward and playing a through ball to Vinicius Jr - who was through on goal. The Brazilian made no mistake as he fired Madrid ahead on the evening with a cool finish, giving his side a 2-0 lead on aggregate over Leipzig.

The 2-0 lead on aggregate was short-lived for Carlo Ancelotti's side, after Willi Orban equalised just three minutes after Vinicius scored. Leipzig continued to push for another goal in the moments that followed, with Andriy Lunin being called into action on several occasions. However, the game finished 1-1, with Real progressing to the quarter-finals.
