Kane went on to score from the spot to put Real Madrid 2-1 up before Vinicius Jr bagged a late equaliser for the visitors.

The England striker <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/harry-kane-responds-jude-bellingham-attempts-distract-him-before-penalty-real-madrid/bltec89f203b57a4cbb#cs91064041f2d40b85" target="_blank">admitted after the game that Bellingham had tried to put him off</a>. However, the Madrid man's efforts were in vain as <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/bayern-munich-player-ratings-vs-real-madrid-harry-kane-kim-min-jae/blt4a0e120b70fd8a5b" target="_blank">Kane scored his 43rd goal of the season for Bayern</a>. The draw means it's all to play for in the return at the Santiago Bernabeu next Wednesday, with Kane now revealing exactly what his England team-mate said to him.

Kane told BBC Sport that Bellingham told him after the game what he had said: “In the moment, I didn’t know what he said but I spoke to him after and he said: ‘I know you’re going to go left of the keeper'. On the pitch, I knew he was there but I didn’t know what he said. But I went left anyway. It was nice for me because I saw the keeper go a little bit early and I put it away."

WHAT BELLINGHAM SAID

Kane has been directly involved in 11 goals in the UEFA Champions League this season (eight goals, three assists); the most ever by an English player in a single campaign in the competition.
