Former Manchester United man Tevez has scored just a solitary goal in his first four games since moving to the Chinese Super League on a contract worth a reported £615,000 per week.

An eyewitness snapped pictures of him wearing a LeBron James jersey at Disneyland with friends and family members, including his baby child and wife Vanessa, which were shared on social media.

The ill-advised visit was greeted with widespread ridicule from Chinese fans on social media, with one person writing sarcastically: “Shenhua have been through a bad patch, he doesn’t know it? When every team-mate is working up a sweat, he is chilling out in Disneyland. What a ‘professional'.”

Another asked: “How can he justify his incredible salary with such an attitude? He doesn’t care a jot for the team!”

Some even called for his early exit, with one person writing: “Tevez is always complaining of homesickness. I'm sick of hearing it. It's time for him to leave right now, for the good of both parties.”

Shenhua coach Gus Poyet has admitted Tevez is still struggling to adapt to his new life in China and asked fans for patience.
