Ryad Boudebouz scored to help Real Betis to a 3-2 victory over Marseille in a friendly encounter on Wednesday evening.
Cameroon winger Clinton Njie got the last goal of the five-goal thrilling encounter but was not enough for the French outfit.
The LaLiga outfit got off to a bright start with Loren Moron’s ninth-minute effort putting them ahead.
Quique Setién’s men, however, had to wait till after the break to witness another goal. In the 52nd minute, Boudebouz converted from 12-yard out to double his side’s lead after substitute Antonio Barragán was upended in Marseille’s area.
Tomas Hubocan pulled a goal back for the Europa League finalists in the 66th minute but, with nine minutes left of regular time, Victor Camarasa restored the Seville outfit’s two-goal cushion.
Camarasa’s effort would turn out to be very crucial as substitute Njie scored in stoppage time to make it 3-2 for Rudi Garcia’s men.
Boudebouz and Njie will hope to be again productive in the final third when their sides face Lille and Sporting CP respectively in their next tune-up encounters.
