According to the <a href="https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-anthony-gordon-newcastle-transfer-32791041" target="_blank">Daily Star</a>, the Reds are keeping tabs on the England winger but the 23-year-old will reportedly cost close to £100 million. This comes at a time when Egyptian international Salah <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/mohamed-salah-legendary-liverpool-career-end-high/blteb9ca0f997208f56" target="_blank">could be heading towards an Anfield exit this summer</a>, meaning Liverpool may need a replacement.

WHAT HAPPENED?

With Liverpool manager <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/jurgen-klopp-leaving-liverpool-reds-boss-bombshell-announcement-quitting-role-shock-video/bltba3be51866395e61" target="_blank">Jurgen Klopp set to leave this summer</a>, a new era at the club is drawing ever closer. If Salah were to depart, that would leave a sizeable hole in the Reds' attack and it appears Gordon is someone they are possibly targeting. Salah has been a world-class player at Liverpool and replacing his goals will not be easy.

This season, Gordon has scored 11 goals and bagged 11 assists for Newcastle, whereas Salah has scored 25 times and turned provider on 14 occasions. So Gordon may not be a like-for-like replacement if Salah were to leave Liverpool and he replaced the Egyptian.
