Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has saluted his side's title rivals Manchester City, saying the pace they are setting is "absolute madness".
The Reds and City are currently engaged in a high-stakes battle for the Premier League crown, with City holding a one-point lead with two games to go.
Liverpool are looking to win their first title since the 1989-90 campaign, while City are aiming to make it back-to-back Premier League crowns.
Pep Guardiola's side set a Premier League record by reaching 100 points last term, and will achieve a total of 98 this season if they win both of their remaining matches.
And Klopp could only marvel at that blistering pace, telling Goal and DAZN: "If City win all their games, then I can only congratulate them. It is quite simple. They will have had an amazing season, an incredible campaign.
"They had an unbelievable 2017-18 season and almost matched their points tally from that year. That’s absolute madness.
"You can only admire such consistency. I can’t say anything bad about that.
"We don’t want to win the league because City lose, but because we win. So if City win the league, they will have deserved it."
Liverpool will take on Newcastle and Wolves in their final two Premier League games, and must hope that City drop points against either Leicester City or Brighton.
With his side no longer controlling their own destiny, Klopp knows all the Reds can do is focus on winning their final two games.

"I would just like to win our own games and then we will see what happens," Klopp said. "It could all be decided on the final matchday.
"Manchester City have Brighton away and we take on Wolves at home. Those are no easy games. Brighton could still be battling against relegation and Wolves have proven to be a very good team and a very unpleasant opponent. That could be tight as well.
"I believe that you will get what you deserve in the end. If you don’t get it in the short term, you will get it in the long term. It’s as simple as that."
The Reds do have the issue of fixture congestion to contend with, as Klopp's men will face Barcelona in a Champions League semi-final tie over the next two weeks.
But the German has insisted his men aren't concerned about tiredness with the season reaching its closing stages.
"You don’t really feel [tired] when the season is in process," Klopp said. "Everything is well. Although I am not saying that the season could go on for another 25 weeks!
"I don’t mind that we’ve reached the business end of the season, but I’m doing well."
