Garry Monk has often got the best out of his team when playing against top opposition this season, beating Leeds United 2-1 at Elland Road last September and drawing in the reverse fixture against West Brom at St Andrew's. With his team currently in a poor run of form though, it seems unlikely they'll replicate either of those performances.

West Brom are still managerless after sacking Darren Moore earlier this month. James Shan has enjoyed a good spell as caretaker boss so far, winning both of his games, but this could be his last match in charge of the Midlands side with Slavisa Jokanovic and Alex Neil heavily linked to the vacant post.

Birmingham's morale will be low heading into this fixture, having lost each of their last four outings plus the FFP punishment being confirmed. What's more, this is an extremely tough assignment.
