Many South African fans were frustrated Percy Tau didn't play for Club Brugge in Champions League action this week.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns player sat on the bench throughout the game as his Belgian club drew 1-1 against Galatasaray.

Picking up a point away in Turkey against a vastly experienced club in Uefa competitions is an impressive result and this is why Club Brugge were ecstatic for their late equaliser.

Krepin Diatta's injury-time goal keeps their dreams alive to qualify for the knockout stage of the Europa League. Realistically, they already knew their chances of progressing in the Champions League were remote since there is Real Madrid and PSG in their group. Club Brugge and their Turkish opponents are now out of the running in the premier European competition.
