Tuchel rejects Bayern for Arsenal job


Thomas Tuchel has turned down the chance to manage Bayern Munich and will instead succeed Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, according to Kicker .

The Borussia Dortmund manager told Bayern officials last week that he had already signed for a club abroad, which is understood to be the Gunners.

Tuchel will link up with former Dortmund head of recruitment Sven Mislintat in north London, having worked with him in Germany.

Barca want Griezmann before World Cup

Barcelona are set to step up their pursuit of Antoine Griezmann in a bid to complete his move from Atletico Madrid before the World Cup, according to  Sport .

The Blaugrana have long been linked with France international Griezmann and are keen to get the deal done so as to avoid a bidding war later in the summer.

They are set to offer to pay Griezmann's €100 million release clause in two installments, with talks scheduled for the next few days.


Mourinho to sell Pogba to fund United overhaul

Jose Mourinho has lost patience with Paul Pogba and will sell him to fund a transfer overhaul of Manchester United, reports the Mirror .

Pogba, who has been told to cut back on social media, could draw interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

The sale of Pogba would free Mourinho up to pursue Toni Kroos and Raphael Varane and failing that, Marco Verratti and Marquinhos from PSG.

Monaco star Thomas Lemar hopes Liverpool and Arsenal renew their interest in signing him after admitting he was "disappointed" at missing out on a move.

Arsenal saw a series of bids rejected for the France international last summer, and potentially would have signed him on deadline day had Alexis Sanchez's move to Manchester City not fallen through.

The 22-year-old was also the subject of a £70 million offer from Liverpool and has not given up hope of earning a similar deal this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain have held preliminary talks with representatives for Chelsea manager Antonio Conte about becoming the Ligue 1 club’s manager, according to the Guardian .

PSG’s Champions League elimination at the hands of Real Madrid likely spells the end for Unai Emery and Conte, who is also in the frame for the Italy gig, has seen his own position with the Blues come under fire.

The club consider Conte one of four option at this point, but should the Parisians decide to move forward, they will be able to offer the manager a salary of £10 million a year.
