Sofapaka coach Melis Medo irked by missed chances in a victory against Mount Kenya United

Melis Medo has called for improvement in Sofapaka’s next league game.

The American tactician was left fuming at the missed opportunities even after he managed maximum points against his former side, Mount Kenya United in the last Kenyan Premier League match on Sunday.

Medo’s side beat Mount Kenya United; formerly Nakumatt 2-1, but the coach, who moved to Sofapaka this season, was particularly irked by missed opportunities.

“We need to work a bit on our defense with a few mistakes here and there, especially with the decision making. The goal we conceded was as a result of split-second decision making.”

“I am not happy with that win. In fact, I should consider that a draw. I have a lot of reservations about that game because we created so many opportunities but we couldn’t finish.

"In the first half Avire (John) should have had three on his own, last one in the second half for Sammy (Imbuye)should have been a goal,” the tactician told Sofapaka.co.ke.

Medo, however, was impressed by his new signing Cliff Kasuti, who joined the side from Ulinzi Stars. “He is a type of player that can move anywhere along the line and he did his work well,”

Batoto Ba Mungu will next take on Bandari FC at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
