Norwich City are clear favourites to make an immediate return to the Championship, with the Canaries having endured relegation from the Premier League four times since 2009.

Along with the Canaries, a number of other sides will be looking over their shoulders for the remainder of the campaign, hoping to avoid the drop to the second tier of English football.

Favourites to be relegated from Premier League in 2021-22

Norwich City are the shortest priced team to be relegated from the Premier League, with bet365 offering the Carrow Road outfit as 1/100 shots for a slide into the second tier.

Dean Smith's side have struggled for goals all season and it will take a monumental effort from the Canaries to avoid the drop. The club are of course accustomed to going down, having suffered relegation in 2009, 2014, 2016 and 2020, and it is understandable that they are odds-on favourites to be relegated once more.

Watford have slipped into the bottom three and are now priced at 1/6 to head straight back down into the Championship after just one more season among the elite. The appointment of Claudio Ranieri as head coach at the start of October did not play out as planned and vastly-experienced former England manager Roy Hodgson is now calling the shots at Vicarage Road.

Burnley are another of those scrapping for their top-flight lives, as they sit four points from safety with 11 games remaining, and Sean Dyche's men are 8/13 to be playing second-tier football next season. The struggles of those just above the drop zone are helping to keep things interesting, though, and some heavyweight teams are far from being secure.

Leeds United took the decision to bid an emotional farewell to Marcelo Bielsa in February, with American coach Jesse Marsch drafted in to help steady the ship at Elland Road. A couple of dramatic winning goals have helped to spark his reign into life, but the Whites remain 3/1 shots for relegation.

Everton have been a top-flight team since 1954, but Frank Lampard is finding it difficult to plug defensive leaks at Goodison Park and the Toffees remain very much in trouble. They are 9/4 to suffer a first tumble through the Premier League trapdoor.

Outside bets to be relegated from Premier League in 2021-22

Brentford will hope to have enough left in the tank to prevent their long-awaited return to the top flight being brought to a close after just one season. Thomas Frank has plenty of talent at his disposal, including Christian Eriksen and Ivan Toney, and the Bees are 8/1 for the drop as a result.

Eddie Howe Newcastle 2021-22Getty

Newcastle United have found form at just the right time, with Eddie Howe offering fresh hope to new owners and an expectant fan base, and the Magpies will look to continue spreading their wings after moving out to 33/1 for relegation.

Brighton have seen a once promising campaign fall to pieces somewhat, but they still have plenty of breathing room when it comes to a basement battle unfolding below them and will not expect to be dragged into that fight at 150/1.

The same is true for FA Cup semi-finalists Crystal Palace, with Patrick Vieira's eye-catching brand of football meaning that more attention is being paid to a possible top-half finish - and an upcoming trip to Wembley - than odds of 250/1 to head out of the Premier League.
