Premier League Betting: Manchester City 10/1 for no goalless draws next season

Last season saw a record amount of goals scored in the Premier League as a combined 1,072 were plundered throughout the campaign.

Champions Manchester City contributed the most strikes with 95, six more than runners up Liverpool, whilst Huddersfield netted just 22 times on their way to finishing last.

Just 22 matches ended 0-0 - 10 fewer than in the previous season - and William Hill offer a market on whether every match played by a specific team will feature over 0.5 goals.

This market is called 'Over 0.5 goals in every Premier League match played by' and can be found in the ‘Outrights’ section of the English Premier League, alongside a host of other betting options.

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham were the only sides who did not take part in a goalless draw in any of their fixtures, and both are priced at 12/1 (13.0) to repeat the feat this time around.

The Gunners’ games saw an average of 3.26 goals, second behind Bournemouth’s 3.32, with nine of their results featuring five goals or more – the joint-highest amount in the league.

Man City are the shortest price available, with the bookmaker going 10/1 (11.0) that all of the champions’ games see over 0.5 goals. Only once did Pep Guardiola’s men draw 0-0 last term, which came when they missed a late penalty at Anfield and left Liverpool with a point.

William Hill offer Jurgen Klopp's Reds at 11/1 (12.0). That stalemate with City was their only home 0-0 but their trips to Manchester United and Everton finished that way - a pair of games that allowed Guardiola’s side back into the title race.

Bournemouth could prove to be good value at 20/1 (21.0) considering just one of their games ended goalless last season, with their concession of 70 goals the third-worst defence in the league.

Similarly, the 18/1 (19.0) shots on Wolves and West Ham may also be popular punts as they only took part in one fixture each that ended without a goal.

Chelsea (12/1), Crystal Palace (20/1), Newcastle (20/1) and Southampton (20/1) all drew 0-0 on four separate occasions last season, with no team taking part in more than that particular quartet.
