Premier League Betting: Golden Boot race set to go down to wire as Sadio Mane's hot streak continues

The race for the Premier League Golden Boot is closer than ever with four players all tied on 17 goals heading into the home stretch.

Sadio Mane has made a late push for the prize after netting nine goals in his last nine games, catching up with Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the process.

The quartet all sit behind bet365’s favourite, though. Sergio Aguero has 18 strikes this term and is 6/4 (2.50) to scoop the award for the second time in his career.

That gave Salah that opportunity to at least draw level with the Manchester City man but his dry spell continued against Fulham, making it seven games in all competitions since he found the net.

The Egyptian, now 10/3 (4.33) to win the prize for a second straight year, scored his 17th of the season back on February 9 but that is the only strike in his last eight Premier League games – allowing teammate Mane to steal the spotlight.

The Senegalese forward - who was 100/1 (101.0) on February 9 - has rediscovered his scoring touch in 2019, although he remains somewhat of an outsider at 10/1 (11.0) with bet365 given Salah is also in the running and could start firing again at any given moment.

Tottenham striker Kane drifted out slightly to 7/2 (from 10/3) with Tottenham also having the weekend off after their scheduled opponents, Crystal Palace, were in FA Cup action.

Aubameyang is available at 13/2 (7.50) but has scored just twice in his last five games and with Arsenal potentially targeting a deep Europa League run, rotation could impact the amount of league games he plays for the remainder of the campaign.
