Olympics chief Commodore upbeat ahead of Accra derby

Great Olympics board member Oluboi Commodore says they will shock Hearts of Oak in the Accra derby at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Wonder Club are without a win in their opening five games of the campaign, languishing at the bottom of the table with only two points.

However, Commodore insists the players are highly motivated to hand their city rivals their second defeat of the season, noting that coach Godwin Attram has the support of the board of directors.

"Olympics are poised for victory against Hearts on Sunday. We are coming into the game like a wounded lion," Commodore told Class FM.

"This is because out of five games, we've picked only two points from 15 points. So the only thing that a good team will be looking for is to win the derby on Sunday to beef up the points.

"Our motivation ahead of the game has been good. In our last trip to play Bolga All Stars in Tamale, it was by air from Accra to the match venue. I don't think any of the clubs can fly their players as we did so the players are well motivated except for any new development we are yet to know. We will shock Hearts no matter what.

"Our coach is assured of his job ahead of the clash. All that we are hoping for is start winning games. If he keeps on having results as we're experiencing, definitely many people won't be happy. We need to start picking valuable points to bring calm," he added.
