Ndidi sent off for second time in Leicester City career

Wilfred Ndidi has received the second red card of his Leicester City career following after a second caution in the Premier League clash with Brighton and Hove Albion.

With three minutes left in the match and the Foxes up 1-0, Ndidi fouled Shane Duffy and he was dismissed by referee Chris Kavanagh.

The Nigeria international was first cautioned in the 76th minute after he brought down Jose Izquierdo in the penalty area – but Kasper Schmeichel saved the resulting spot-kick taken by Glenn Murray.

In the closing seconds of the game, Jamie Vardy powered in the second goal of the evening as Claude Puel’s men side secured a vital away win.

Ndidi got his first career red card against Crystal Palace on December 16, 2017 to celebrate his 21st birthday in a wrong way.

Before his expulsion, the 21-year-old made a total of four tackles (75% tackles won) and four clearances.
