Mamelodi Sundowns were pitted against Al Ahly in the 2018/19 Caf Champions League quarter-finals.
The Brazilians secured their place in the last eight after finishing second in Group A behind Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca while Egyptian football powerhouse, Al Ahly, booked their place in the knockout stages after winning Group D.
This will be the first meeting between the two former Champions League winners since 2007.
Al Ahly, who have won a record eight Champions League titles, beat Sundowns 4-2 on aggregate in the second-round matches 12 years ago.
The two teams also met in the 2001 Caf Champions League final with Al Ahly winning 4-1 on aggregate in what was Sundowns' first continental final.
Sundowns will be at home in the first-leg clash on the weekend of April 5, before travelling to Egypt to for the return leg on the weekend of April 12.
Meanwhile, the defending champions Esperance of Tunisia will lock horns with Algerian side CS Constantine in a North African Derby.
Esperance eased into the last eight after dominating Group B - recording four wins and two draws as they finished the group stages undefeated.
Constantine surprised many as they secured their place in the knockout stages as Group C runners-up ahead of 1991 Champions League winners and Tunisian giants Club Africain, who finished third.
Guinea's Horoya AC, who beat Sundowns' PSL rivals Orlando Pirates to reach the quarter-finals last weekend, were pitted against Wydad Casablanca.
Horoya advanced into the last eight as Group B runners-up and they will now take on Group A winners Wydad with the two teams having met in last year's tournament.
They played to a 1-1 stalemate in a group stage match which was played in Guinea, before Wydad secured a 2-0 victory at home.
Lastly, five-time Champions League winners TP Mazembe of DR Congo were drawn against Tanzanian giants Simba SC.
Mazembe eased into the knockout stages as Group C winners, while Simba sneaked into the last eight as Group D runners-up.
This will be the first meeting between the two teams since 2011 with Mazembe having defeated Simba 6-3 on aggregate in the Champions League qualifying rounds eight years ago.
All the quarter-final matches are scheduled to be played in April 2019.
