Logrono extend Equatorial Guinea defender Dorine Chuigoue's contract

Logrono have announced they have extended Dorine Chuigoue's contract for another season with the Spanish top-flight side, which runs until the end of 2019/20 season.

The Equatorial Guinea defender has been rewarded with the new deal following her outstanding showing on her debut season in Spain, helping her side to retain their top-flight status.

The 30-year-old joined Logrono in the summer of 2018 from Serbian women's champions Spartak Subotica on a one-year deal with an extension option.

Having scored three goals in 24 outings last season, the Spanish Liga Iberdrola side have triggered a 12-month extension clause in Chuigoue's contract.

The Equatoguinean becomes the third African to commit her future to Chechu Martínez's side after her compatriot Jade Boho and Cote d'Ivoire Ida Guehai.

With the trio's contracts extension confirmed, Martiness will hope to tie down Zambia's Barbara Banda ahead of the new season, which resumes in September.
