Liverpool vs Tottenham Betting Special: Plenty of action at Anfield in 7/1 Bet Builder selection

The final international break of the season is over and now all focus will be on the return of the Premier League.

Liverpool host Tottenham in the pick of the weekend’s fixtures as the Reds look to start their final stretch of games on the right foot with a win which would take them five points clear at the top.

bet365 make Jurgen Klopp’s title-chasers 11/20 (1.55) to claim their 24th win of the Premier League season, but our tipster has turned to the firm’s Bet Builder to find a value wager.

Selections from the same game generally cannot be added into the same bet but the Bet Builder tool allows punters to combine aspects. We have opted for: Over 2 Goals, Both Teams to Score, Over 10 Corners, and Under 4 cards, paying out at 7/1 (8.0).

Goals are almost always on the agenda at Anfield. Liverpool have scored more than two goals there on 10 separate occasions this season, with the ground seeing an average of 3.53 goals per match.

Also, no team has scored more away goals than the 32 Spurs have mustered this season, with the North Londoners failing to score in only one away game this term.

Both teams have found the net on six of the last seven occasions these teams have met, with over 2 goals landing in four of the last five in all competitions.

Only two teams average more corners at home than Liverpool, who boast 7.07 per game, whilst Spurs are awarded 4.94 and have 5.13 given against them – the exact league average of corners conceded by away teams.

Finally, there is usually an air of feistiness when Liverpool play Tottenham but interestingly that rarely translates into yellow and red cards.

There were a whopping 33 fouls when the Reds won 2-1 at Wembley earlier in the season - well above the league average of 20.9 fouls per game - but not a single one was card-worthy.

That lack of cards is keeping on trend for both teams. Liverpool, who have received just 15 bookings in 15 home games, whilst Spurs get shown 1.88 per away game on average.

Factor in that referee Martin Atkinson averages 3.30 yellow cards per match and has shown just one red in his 23 outings, and it seems like there may be little call for him to reach for his notebook.
