Guardiola will have to continue without the injured trio of Benjamin Mendy, Phil Foden and Gabriel Jesus, who are still not ready to return to action.

Manchester City will be looking to pick up where they left off in the Premier League, hoping to make it 23 games without defeat. They have won 20 of their games so far and have a commanding lead at the top of the table, and are 15 points ahead of second-placed Manchester United.
Just three points separate United and Liverpool in fourth, with Spurs and Arsenal three and five points further behind. A win for Liverpool would help them stay in the running for a Champions League spot, but Klopp has to plan for life without talisman Philippe Coutinho.
Virgil van Dijk is likely to make his first Premier League start for his new club, having broken Benjamin Mendy's €57 million mark as the world's most expensive defender. The Dutch centre-back made his competitive debut by scoring the winner against rivals Everton in the FA Cup, and will be eager to continue his dream start by helping the Reds to a win over Man City.
Sergio Aguero will lead the line for City again with Jesus sidelined, leading to increased talk about a January transfer for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez to provide more firepower for the second half of the season.
